Check out how we celebrated National HIV Testing Day, (June 27, 2013). The African American Health Program of Montgomery County hosted a flash mob dance to the song Gangnam Style by Psy in downtown Silver Spring.
It wasn’t a huge mob (we know that most people would rather watch and take pics), but we definitely got the attention of the crowd and was able to hold it just long enough to show them our dance moves and also spread awareness concerning the importance of protecting ourselves against HIV and also knowing our status. The testing was free and confidential and people were in and out in about 15 minutes.
Knowing your HIV status will help you make important decisions about your own health, HIV prevention and treatment. If you’re interested in finding a testing site in your area? Visit: www.HIVTEST.org
Today, I’m thankful that I know my status and for those helping others know theirs! God bless!
I would have probably been one of the ones watching 😉 Looks like a fun event for a good cause though!
Me too Sheryl’s Pearls lol great pics though!
