Pics: Check out some of the pictures from last week’s McDonald’s 365Black® 2014 Inspiration Celebration® Gospel Tour!
I attended the VIP reception and grabbed a few pictures with some of the guests. That was nice, but the best part was seeing them in their element and experiencing the happiness that filled the building!
Comedian Jonathan Slocumb reminded me of that cousin that just keeps you in stitches from laughter. He walked into the room with a suit from two different Easters (I’m talking 2012 and 1976! j/k).
I feel like I know Erica Campbell (of the gospel sensation group Mary Mary) because of her reality-TV show. She was even more beautiful in person. #BlankStare
This was my first experience with Uncle Reese, who should be name Nephew Reese because of his youthful energy. I enjoyed his combination of song, rap and drama to convey his message. Seeing the Mississippi Mass Choir was kind of surreal. I feel like they’ve touched so many generations with their music and still have found a way to bring a purity of sound and spirit through every song. Anthony Brown & Group Therapy were my favorites. I’d heard his music before but it was good to finally put a name and face to it. This young group has tons of talent.
Be sure to check out the Legends Kurt Carr and Moses Tyson, who brought excellence as they always do.
Purpose: Last year, the tour raised more than $80K for the Ronald McDonald House Charities, which (among many things) helps to ease the financial burden of families by providing them a free place to stay so they can focus on supporting their healing children. The stories of the lives changed by this organization are inspirational. You can donate TODAY to support!
Today, I’m thankful for good music, good people and great charities. God bless.
