GOT NINE!? We know it’s what comes after eight… but NINE… is also what Tionna Smalls said should be the number of income streams you create from each business that you have. So… you got NINE? #OrNah I’m not there yet but it’s fun working towards it.
This was just ONE of the many thought provoking questsions posed during #WeStartUp … Last weekend, I along with more than 50 others, invested in ourselves by attending Weekend Start Up (or #WeStartUp), a 2-day training course curated by author, speaker, and entrepreneur Paul C. Brunson. The weekend was both intensive (in time and content) and demanding in the way that it required attendees to give so much of ourselves. So too, the knowledge and guidance we received matched our high levels of effort.
The training consisted of lectures and workshops and focused on giving minority entrepreneurs (and those seeking to be entrepreneurs) the critical keys and foundation needed to be successful in business. Many were there to take their current business to the next level. I’m still going through my notes and investigating ways to increase my success.
Attendee, Keoma Hamer traveled from St. Marteen to attend the training and learn ways to take her organization, Kelaha Projects, to the next level. “They gave us exactly what we needed to know about starting up a company, or for those who already had a platform, how to move forward and make more money,” she said. Hamer says her next step is implementation.
Which, I think is in everyone’s plans. Interested in Weekend StartUp School? Stay tuned.
Today, I’m thankful for my new cohort of leaders, movers, shakers and entrepreneurs!
It was a great weekend indeed! Very nice meeting you!
